  1. Well it's not what I forgot it's what I didn't notice.

A friend loaned me his 74 TY250 to ride while my IT175 was apart.

Loaded up drove to the riding area. Suited up turned on the gas and looked down and gas was running all over the place.

On further inspection I noticed that there was no carburetor.........WTF! :D

He had forgotten to tell that he had removed the carb for cleaning and repair.

  2. If there are still traces.............run hijackthis and send me the log file.

It shows all the stuff running in the background.

I've used it on many PC'S and have been able to clear all the BS.

Also if you have system restore enabled you can go back before where the young'un downloaded.

Just choke them real hard and they'll tell ya when they loaded that stuff up.

  3. Highjackthis should show what's running in the background. Be careful what you delete.

    Update all the spyware programs

    Immunize Spybot

Try spyware blaster also. It keeps the nasties from loading.

Run the spyware programs multiple times.

    Disable autocomplete.

Use firefox with no script plugin.

  4. I've owned two Fantics over the years (240,309). Bullet proof engine and transmission!

The few things I didn't like were, the lack of needle bearings on the swingarm pivot (bushings),

the weak kick start lever (pinch bolt, splines and pivot pin) and aluminum axles, swingarm pivot bolt on the 309.

The 1984 TY250. The engine case would crack at the swingarm pivot from hitting the skid plate. This was changed later with the extra boss in the casting and mount.

On my Scorpa..........swing arm pivot nut fell off (owners fault for not checking all bolts for tightness)and the coolant hose vulnerability to damage.

Other than that I've had very few problems with my bikes.

  5. WTF is THAT?

I just grouped 12 ECM'S from 1980 Chevettes and hooked them all together.

In a simpler question, what do I need to do to get all my old(family) tapes, and mini DV up to a Keepable standard?

Should I just buy a DVD recorder for the video system? Or upgrade the computer? Is DVD here to stay, and which recording format is best? + - i do not get it.

I would suggest a DVD recorder for simple transfer if you don't want to do any editing.

I use this to record TV shows Panasonic DMR-ES20 and it works well. A little bit of a learning curve. Lots of buttons. :D

For the mini DV you'll have to hook the camcorder to the recorder via firewire ( IEEE 1394 same thing) or composite cables.

DVD- is more compatable but most new players play everthing (ie: DVD - +, DVD RAM, JPEG Photos).

You can still buy a turntable!

DVD'S will be around just don't write on it with a magic marker, ink pen, crayon, paint brush, engraver or a sharpie, get a marker made for CD, DVD's (water based).

    Here's a site with a player compatabilty list. >>> :D

What computer, type, brand do you have?

  7. From Corels knowledge base.

"Paint Shop Pro 7 has added new support for Corel CDR files. Paint Shop Pro

    now supports CDR versions 5-9.

Paint Shop Pro does not support the Clip Art files supplied with Corel

Programs. Typically if you open these files as an image within Corel Draw,

then resave it as a Corel Draw image (CDR), the file should open fine with

    Paint Shop Pro."

It won't save to .cdr but can convert to jpeg's.

I have Corel PSP Xl now and it runs great. Althougth on my new Video Editing work station, everything is fast.
