check the air screw setting matey see how many turns etc first, when running spray carb cleaner around the inlet rubber etc try the simple things first.

yeah the one on mine was a lot smaller then original made a nice diference

have you fettled with the air screw as i had an 06 290 done the same and the air screw was well off got it set up ok and it ran fine after that

i had the short one daz on my 2010 made it very revy and brought 4th gear down to useable gear.

ok cheers il see if i got any of them in stock, any ideas on oil i no the manual says 15/50 but i was thinking 10/40 or 10/50 fully synthetic?

anybody no what number oil filter the rev4 uses idealy the hi flow number? also what oil are you guys using 10/40/50 semi fully etc? all the best

well beta didnt ring me back with availability and didnt really seem bothered on the phone if im hounest. aparently there having a month off too so doubt il get anything sorted now from them, after years of sherco and a top service from rathmels my beta ownership is not a great one so far. always a delay with parts ordered, never anything stocked, spoke to a shop today who reckons they may be able to sort out a pipe for the bike so will wait and see what happens. i love the bike but its hindered by the lack of parts and service so far i hope i stay with the brand a bit longer.

was just seing if anyones bought one on here as its sunday eve and everywheres shut lol. i rode a 300 and didnt like it, i pref the 250, bit flatter but predictable and easy to throw around i find. i just wanted to get a teeny bit more bottom end was gona change pipe and have a play with the head to get it a tad more. if its silly money il just not bother and machine the mitani pipe to fit. cheers

hi thanks for the replies guys how much are them ti pipes to buy from beta ? if there mega dear then il try and find a used standard one and il cut it open and remake the inners. im sure with a decent less restricted pipe and a few engine tweaks it will be a cracking bike, i already love it but feel theres a little more hiding in there haha. cheers

got any links etc for this? i have a mitani rear pipe off a montesa here so if no joy il fabricate it to fit as i want to do a bit of tuning on the beta and see where i can move the power around too etc. cheers

very simple quick job check the shaft for wear while your there

if you buy somenthing needid wheel bearings chain and sprockets then id expect other items to be worn or dirty. dirty filters are a no no in any vehicle regardless as anything passing through goes into the motor.

that looks terrible i have no issues with filling mine just gota be slightly more aware rather then slinging it in.

lol i fitted it to my bike to see if it fitted a 2010 after conflicting evidence. my friend now has it on hes sherco and its lovely. i rode an evo 4t beta and can hapilly say it was flat as a pankake. the new sherco power is lovely, even more so ow it has an s3 ti pipe fitted.

lol most people put a dolop of silicone on there as most have a few small holes on the lip under the fender. not a lot gets in there really so if the filters clogged up id say it hasnt had any love for quite some time. you gota love the internet for the lynchings and half told stories lol

ok thanks guys im dubious as had the sherco 320 and it was horrid to start, ive now got a 2010 sherco 290 two banger and its very nice to ride but i liked the 4 stroke of the sherco. now ive got used to my 290 sherco think i need 5 mins on a 4 stroker again to see if its for me, anyone in surrey with one? hahaha thanks guys

hi thanks for that only bad things when i see one were thinking about hot start and also the cdi positioning. weird hey. if you lob it is it a real biatch to start or like any other 4 stroker? i was looking atthe 250cc are they as tame as people say as i still like a bit of lairyness? all the best

none of my rev3 done this, personally i wouldnt ride it until you have found the cause or you may make it worse. i had some fuel pinking on one but jetting was out that got sorted. knocking doesnt sound good. piston slaps when worn ie worn barrel coating, worn piston or rings or bearing. id strip top end off and check piston barrel and bearing its 45 min job tops. and the beta gearboxes feel nakered compared to others thats what i found. good luck
