  1. Cheeky sod! lol!! Am from Darlington, 21 year's old born & bred!! Don't get me wrong.....unless you are born & bred, not a 'great' place to live, the quieter parts are alrite as with anywhere, but the rough is rough. Or and we gotta' big ald camp of Gypo's too!! which give'um there due, apart from driving around flat out everywhere in Transit Vans don't cause much of a problem at all! But Darlington is much nicer than a lot of surrounding area's in my opinion, Aycliffe, Bishop, Richmond, Stockton etc...and the bad lads don't rob off their own, like in stockton etc...so not much chance of your bike/bikes etc getting stole if you LIVE in Darlo! lol... *Rant over* HOWEVER been the 'newest' member of CTC - Croft Trials Club // Croft woods, can safely say, its a great place to ride, lots of challenging stuff (new rider to this sport) so i am going to say that, but great bunch a guys down their and there is endless things to go at!! Highly recommend!! & their is apparently a few more places fair local to ride! I cant wait to get my teeth into the sport as I have rode motocross for years, and find this much more thrilling / skilled..and an excellent sport, more young people should be into it, rather than tearing up the local park/farm land on pieces of scrap!! or even worse, roads & estates!!! (we were all young once tho, me still! just dont think like the majority of um any more!) lol.... Cheers man!
  2. Just bought myself a Sherco 290, I am 21 & 12stone. First trials bike and with a 42tooth rear sprocket & 10tooth front sprocket and slow action throttle...its an absolute dream! still plenty of power/torque in every gear! But a lot more handleable/useable. My mates got a GasGas TXT280 Pro, and its a savage animal in comparison. Or so I have found, personal opinion. But with the above mods on my bike, like a say as a first bike is excellent, and as I get better will slowly but it back to normal.... POWER! the way up & forward lol!...
  3. Yeh its great, cant wait for the weekend (nearly here now) back out on it again! & correct cost effective fun it sure is!! And yeh 'scottraining' am beginning to get abit like that! I was walking my springer spaniel this morning down by the river which runs behind my house and there was all kinds you could have a go at on a trials bike! lol...but I like the sheer amount of places you can take the bike and ride legally, with out the police coming and wanting to take it from you. Great sport and seems to be a lot of decent people doing it. No little chav's on scrap bikes flying about etc! lol And yeh I will watch out for that 't-shock' cheers for the heads up...I have had plenty of bikes before this, Yammy TY's, Suzuki RM's, Honda XR's...so it shouldn't be too hard for me to keep an eye out! And with out a doubt am gunna enjoy it! Cheers guys, thanks for the warm welcome...
  4. Morning all! Last Friday I purchased myself a 2004 Sherco 290! From a local lad down the road @ Bishop. Then spent the weekend riding down near Croft!...Didn't think it was going to be as good as what my mates were making out etc, but absolutely LOVED it! Even compared to Motocross, Fast Cars etc...at least with this their is places you can go no bother, and have a good time with out any hassle from police etc etc! Cant wait for this weekend to be honest, by last Sunday I was already getting a feeling for the bike, getting over my first rock, on and off pallets etc some big hills and a few jumps here and their, GOOD FUN!...first time on a trials bike, apart from my first bike when I was 7 or 8 which was a Yamaha TY80 (still own today!) now 21, and this is my first trials bike. Clean thing @ well looked after! Finding it easy to tame at the minute with the slow action throttle! lol.... Cheers guys!!!
