i tried to start the gasser this morning as i was going to spend the day out in the woods, i kicked the bike over and it started on the second kick as normal but it stalled so i gave it another kick when i heard a crack as the kick start went down and now the kick start goes up and down by hand with a lot of clicking snagging, any ideas what this could be guys.

that would have been my next question, i didnt know it untill i read your answer

hi jon, its a txt 280 year 2000 thats all i know, im not sure if thats a new or old model, ive been in the woods with 10 psi in my rear tyre so its probably the reason im not getting any traction its still all very new to me so im still learning.

hi all, would someone please advise me on the 2 stroke ratio on my txt280, the guy i got it from told me to mix 100ml of oil with 5 litres of petrol, i was told today by another rider it should be 80ml of oil to 5 litres of petrol, wich is it 100ml or 80ml?, im using putoline tt oil with shell optimax fuel, any advise welcome, regards Nick.

my name is nick im 26 and im new to trials, ive just recently got myself a gas gas txt280(2000)i thought i would introduce myself as ive been on here a few times alresdy, i would be realy gratefull for any tips and advice for an absolute begginer. are there any techniques that i should learn first or should i just learn a bit of everything over a period of time.
