December 19, 201015 yr i tried to start the gasser this morning as i was going to spend the day out in the woods, i kicked the bike over and it started on the second kick as normal but it stalled so i gave it another kick when i heard a crack as the kick start went down and now the kick start goes up and down by hand with a lot of clicking snagging, any ideas what this could be guys.
December 19, 201015 yr you have at least broke the kickstart gear and will have to replace the idler gear also.Very common on the pro models.
December 19, 201015 yr dont panic it could just be a return spring. take your casing off gently and inspect round the shaft area it will soonbecome aparent whats happened.

December 19, 201015 yr i partly agree with lineaway. its gonna be the kickstart spring that broke but chances are you may not have to replace idler gear. i had a similar thing happen on my pro model gasser. idler was fine, just lots of spring pieces everywhere. its got the scars to prove it.
