  1. Have used both, rode the same bike in both. I have also sold both makes for years. My preference always relates to fit, as I find the quality very much the same. Personally, I always found the Alpines to be a slimmer fit, the Formasare a wider fit. Hope this helps.
  2. Just a quick post to say thanks to everyone for the Scottish coverage. Is it just me or does anyone else think the riding gear these days is far too dull , especially the waterproof stuff. Have been spectating at the Scottish since1977 and the variety of kit these days really does seem to lack any colour or sponsers logos etc.

  3. Lots of people seem to be happy to use ATF,if you change oil regularly enough, it will not cause any obvious wear issues.Over the years I have sold most of the options to lots of customers. The best answer I could give would be to try using various oil manufacturers' products as long as they meet the manufacturers spec, you will find one that suits your preferences.Everyone seems to have their favourite.

  5. Great to see the sidecars, hope there's lots more... Having posted lots of Pete Gaunts machines, do you have any pics of the Jeffries Honda, I am rebuilding one (slowly) and any pics would help. Thanks
  6. Keep posting the old pictures, really enjoying seeing the guys I used to watch and in this case the guys I used to ride against. Must do the same with some of the old photos I have. Thanks for going to all the effort. Ross
  7. Just found the article, great job by the way.I am considering the same combo myself, already have the Rushton chair all painted and refurbished.Have you upgraded the rear shock or front fork springs in any way. Just worked out that your article went to two pages so no need to answer really. Cheers anyway and enjoy it.
  8. All good comments so far,I have sold motorcycle securities and alarms for over thirty years now and the best advice is obtain and use as many different devices as you can, all your eggs in one basket is not a great option when protecting motorcycles. One of the most fun options is to fit a silent alarm that calls your mobile phone and your house phone, that way you can surprise the visitors in the act, you may consider taking the Rottweiler with you as well !
