  5. Suspension Setup

    Now then

    I've just bought a 60 plate evo, to start out trialling.

    I've had a rev 3 before and gas gas, but not really trial-er just practised occasionally, now I've I'm going to do some events!

    Anyway, got the bike out earlier but the suspension seems to be quite soft (from what I remember) is there somewhere I can find out the correct settings??

    I'm 5'11 weighing 13.5st

    Also what should the tyres pressures be?

    cheer for the reply, turns out bike was teetering on the reserve limit, could have sworn it had more fuel in!!

    As for the ticking - the front sprocket had a chipped tooth!!

    Been out on the Beta for a bit tonight, and have a small problem occur

    The bike started fine then with a little speed (10mph or so) developed a timely 'tick' which makes me think it may be something on the chain

    BUT

    as this was going on the bike started going funny & cut out. Someone i spoke to at swaine was telling me Betas may tick when running low on fuel

    as he said this the carb peeeeed fuel out of the overflow!

    Now this is my first Beta, only ever had GasGas' can anyone shed any light on it?

    returning to trials after a few years off, got me license and went R6 crazy!!

    looking for a bike at the moment, & will be wanting to learn a few more skills.

    What are the thoughts on a fourstroke beta/ sherco?

    I've only ridden a txt 250 gasgas before!
