Cheers all the other parts came from sandifords but Iam afraid I dont wish to deal with them again but will try pidcocks. still not sure if they will supply a conrod kit but I will keep looking as I cant stretch to a new crank yet

Hi all hope someone can help ,I have a 97 montesa cota 315r which I'am trying to rebuild the engine on I can get all the parts except a conrod kit.Apparently honda only supply a full crank at god knows how much!!! Has anyone rebuilt one themselves or know someone who can? I've heard the engine is similar/the same as a cr 250, is it ? ANY HELP WELCOME thanks in advance Kev

Had the same problem myself for the 315 but i found a couple of websites selling/hire them:- jitsie puller at trialendurodirect.com or trialsbits.co.uk (listed under 4rt but possibly the same size) ended up giving the engine to a local bike mechanic to split for me in newcastle, I should be getting it back completely rebuild soon! cant wait to get on the bike as its taken nearly 2 months to sort thanks to waiting for parts to arrive from sandifords hope yours is sorted soon
