  1. Hi Wayne, A friend of mine with the same bike got some gold vinyl wrap from ebay and covered his swing arm in that. Ive got to say that once he got the replacement stickers and put them back on, it looked mega. Also this worked out much cheaper, less time spent preparing it and just as durable. Just another thought for you. Simon
  2. hi guys, for the past 6 months all i seem to be doing is repairing my friends mudguards that have snapped, all of these are from betas.what i have noticed is that both front and rear mudguards are made from polypropylene which is a very brittle plastic at the best of times, even more so when its quite thick (which they are. over 4mm in places) and stored and used in cold temperatures. Also most beta mudguards are painted which will make it even more brittle. Every broken one i have seen has been a clean break, is everyone else seeing the same thing? The best thing i can suggest is for the front mudguard, there is a cheap universal one for sale on ebay that when its fitted you can hardly tell its not original. The plastic is also quite thin so it has a lot of give. sam
  3. thanks for the tips guys, its got to be worth a try.
  4. does anyone know where i can get the sticker for the front of the bash plate on the 2010 model??
  5. hi all, i have 2010 gasser 250 and both the front forks have a very shallow scratch on them. on one side this causes the oil to weep out very slightly, luckily the scratches are quite high up and its not a massive issue but its annoying and i want to get them sorted. a local engineer that i use at work has told me he can fill the scratches and polish them smooth, i will also change the fork seals because im sure they will have been damaged but im not sure what gas gas have used to black the forks. is it powdercoat?, annodised? if anyone knows please let me know. simon
  6. i put a new plug in when i first brought the bike, the old plug was in fair condition and with the new one it made little or no difference. I will try your other suggestion though. thank you
  7. Hi all, I have a beta rev 3 and it seems to be running a little rough, it starts fine but on idle the revs seem to be slightly up and down. It seems a little worse when riding, especially in second gear on mid revs it gets very jerky. If anyone has come across this problem or has any ideas on a possible fix i would be very gratefull. Thanks
