Cheers Chris
  3. Hi My Beta 250 2012 Evo left a puddle of oil near the front forks so think its time to change the oil and seals (never been changed since new .. not that it has had that hard a life to be honest). Can anyone recommend a suitable oil and seal so I can order the right things ...and any recommended suppliers ? Cheers Chris
  4. So i have a beta 250 2012 .. looks like the drain plug isnt hex ... looks like its one of these torx plugs The biggest socket I have in my bluepoint set is a tt45 .. and its too small for the oil plug. Any idea which one it is ? TT50 OR TT55 Need to order one.
  5. thanks very much ... need to invest in one of those .. the owners manual for ktm give you all the torque's ... guess with beta you have to buy the actual workshop manual
  6. Have a 2012 evo 250 two stroke ...not done an oil change on this before ... Looks like the drain plug is a hex socket ? .... anyone know what size it is ? Anyone know the torque settings (my owners manual doesnt give any indications .. ktm is ~20Nm so will go with that) Cheers Chris (sunny surrey uk)
  7. Hi, Do you strap the bike in to the kangoo ? ... Anyone got a photo of how best to do it ? have trials bike and thinking of getting a kangoo ! Cheers
  8. just worried that if you lay the bike on its side for any length of time .. is that a problem ? guess that you turn the fuel off .. and lay the bike on the ground ...make sure all the fuel that is going to come out ... does ... then stick a tarp etc in my wifes B class merc ...back seats down ... put the whole bike in ... no need to strap the bike in then or any need to take anything off the bike .... clearly when its caked in mud at the other end then you might have a problem .. but at least you didnt have to hire a van !
  9. so say you did want/need to transport your trials bike in a car .. assuming you removed the front wheel ...any advice on how to protect the forks also how to stop the bike falling over ? or is lying the bike on its side on a tarp an option ? Cheers
  10. Hi, Looking on ebay I see these levers at ~£50 ...looks like they are a direct fit http://www.racefx.co.uk/product-details.asp?Submenu=1&Depth=1&productID=7919&CatID=419&ParentID=48 question is .. are they "unbreakable" ... i am an enduro rider so normally have hand gaurds so not really used flexi ones before thanks in advance
  11. say you wanted to transport the trial bike in the car ... if you take the front wheel off .. then how do you protect the bottom of the forks ? ... thinking about how to strap the thing from falling over in the car !
  12. I ride enduro's in SEEC at clubman b and want to improve... now alas I was too busy watching kick start in teh 80's rather than doing it !! ... so belatedly want to get a trials bike to hone my slow and log/obstacle skills have a large private garden but in a surburban area and hoping to get my son involved as well ...my club (Croydon) also do trials so might persue that side as well but for now ... I am looking for advice on a nice quiet trials bike that would be ok for close skills and tackling smallish obstacles we can set up in our acre plot ... Are the two strokes noiser than the 4 strokes ? ...etc etc Welcome any advice on the topic. Cheers Citrus
