  1. With the TY250 monoshock the spring is just too soft. I'm 13 stone and lose 80% travel on the standard unit. As the spring is your suspension you will need a spring to suit your rider weight and damping to suit the spring rate. Means a new shock unit if you are a serious trials rider. Can recommend the Falcon unit.
  2. Hi

The Falcon standard trials piston has been designed to minimize turbulence in the oil as it moves through the ports in the piston.

The gas pressure in any shock is designed to help reduce vacuum and cavitation in the oil, ensuring constant damping at whatever damper piston speed you achieve on a twinshock trials bike.

Cheers sorry for delay in reply, been delivering boat to Weymouth.

Yep totally agree with your comments, I used to teach this technology to motor vehicle engineering year three students and apprentices. Cavitation was/is the problem many a designer has been caught out with, especially in the cooling systems.

Gas in the damper also helps when the damper fluid gets hot, Nitrogen being one of the stable gases as it remains relatively stable with temperature increase. Enter the remote chamber to help with consistency.

  3. Hi You haven't said what bike your looking to fit the shocks onto. I might be able to help Deadbadger
