  1. what reason did you change the clutch for? is is doing the same thing as before?
  2. I ain't very good at getting over tree stumps either. Can do it but not very good ATM on the whole clutch judgment sometimes it wips up abit to much but again think will come with practice
  3. But if you did do it you have to make sure it clean of oil and leave it over night before filling with oil. This just wat I do don't think there is a wrong or right answer tbh
  4. Mine were locktited before I removed them. Must admit I had no trouble removing. Only time I find you have troubled with locktite is if people use to much I.e loads soaking the bolt. Some people don't know how much is enough. I have had cars come into me at work where other people have basically dipped whole bolt in the stuff! All they ever need is a very small amount. It only to hold Bol in place. If you soak bolt you might aswell weld the blumen thing in place! If you only put a small dab on the bolts will undo fine when you next take them out.
  5. Hello just put my clutch back in ur lucky if you got hold of a new clutch I couldn't. I torqued them up and put a small dab of locktite in aswell just to be sure more than anything. Just abit of reassurance for me more than anything but a good idea to and it don't hurt.
  6. Tyre pressure is about .2 bar as I am very light.
  7. Hello I am new to trials and after competing in my first trial 20th may I am looking forward to my second on Monday 4th June. I have been practicing and practicing in the field going round in tight circles left and right at a slow idle pace and doing quite well at that. The only time I find I have abit of trouble with and get bit worried about is when it is a slippery surface and I feel my back wheel sliping from under me. I have my rear tyre set so when all my weight is in it it is half way compressed but it still slips and always makes me dab! Is there any hints or tips you guys can give me to practice and improve? Many thanks chris
  8. Thanks for the info sting, the new clutch was a surflex and was wrong measuring 10.30mm width so sent it back and put old clutch in after flushing old oil out and putting in elf htx740 now it feels so much better still there slightly but only very slightly. Luckily they will take other clutch back for full refund. It only came with 2 contact plate at 1.6mm each and giving new cliche wrong width. When I get on a proper comp sting can I add you as a friend on here so if I have any other problems or issues I can ask you please? Thanks again all for the help I find all the trials people are very helpfull

  12. I have just managed to find a new clutch kit for my Gas Gas 2010 txt pro 250cc. After meny phone calls trying to find one with them all saying sorry we do not have any in stock and we don't know when we are going to recive them from Gas Gas (dp clutch kits). Also alot of shops said the didn't have the surflex clutch kit instock aswell! I thought to my self oh no what am i going to do, so I had one last place to phone and that was trialsbits and he said I have one left on the shelf. I think that made my day! I have just been outside removing the old clutch nice easy job to do. I then measured the old plates and the read 10mm in thickness instead of the 9.75-9.80mm they are ment to be. All I have to do now is wait for my new clutch to come weds. Hope it comes.
