  1. If you have a new Michelin ( the best tyre ) .. Then as the guys say , do the job right !

When we fit a new Mich Trials tyre for a customer , We use bead sealer ..

    DSC_0244_zpse9ef6481.jpg

Clean the wheel up with Brake cleaner, gentle wire brush on spoke heads.. The we paint bead sealer on , before stretching on a New Tubeless rim tape ( Genuine Factory ones more expensive , but better quality)...

Just to be sure , we than paint a layer of bead sealer around rim , before inflating it , often needing 80 + Psi to pop it out .. One of those seating mousse tubes is good for this ..

Bead sealer looks messy, but actually peels of like Latex .. :guinness:

  2. Sting you were correct !! Water pump seal in the wrong way round

We replaced it a couple of weeks ago with Genuine GG 10mm, put new one on same way old one came off .. ( thanks Previous owner !). Fitted new one today , clutch feels much better, oil doesn't looking like dish washing liquid :hyper:

Lets hope clutch says nice and its not contaminated new plates.. At least we now know which way round they go , Thanks for your advice ..

  3. 2009 TXT Pro 125... Put a new Genuine GGUK ? Complete Clutch kit in DP , and few weeks ago, with master cylinder repair kit and bleed properly with Putoline mineral oil .. .. Ok for while , but noticed a bit of coolant loss, ( Putoline GG Recommend oil NOT Contaminated So replaced the water pump washer any way .. Clutch dragging and oil gone greeny / milky , so ordered full factory Water pump repair kit , with new shaft , tight fit 10 mm factory seal... Not loosing and coolant now , but Putoline oil still milky , despite about 4 changes whilst hot??? This is my boys bike ,and clutch not as smooth as a my 2010 250 pro .. What next change mater cylinder ? Its a got a large capacity S3 one on already , or PX it for a Sherco 125 !!!!!

  4. Hi Guys, Ive bought a tidy 2010 GG TXT 250 Pro. Noticed a Spacer on ignition cover, and turns out Bikes got an S3 Flywheel weight :hyper:

Its got 10 x 41, gearing , Noticed its got White fast throttle, so got a Black slow one coming ...

Just starting out in Trials, but been riding Enduro /MX for years ( so just need to slow things down Lol)...

The bike feels like a 4t , to me as thats what Iam really use to..

Ive read good things about Flywheel weights, slow Throttle , just checking this is a good set up for a Southern Shandy Drinking , Wobbler

  5. My 13 yr lad had his first trial last weekend ( Waterside Club ) fantastic club, great event ....

We got an 09 Gas Gas 125 with Renthal Fatbars on... Fitted some 20mm risers and he reckons feels much nicer like his BMX !!

When he is on full lock , he is really outstreched . Was thinking of triming bar width slighty ?

On the basis that what may be fine for a 6" 2 bloke may not be right for a skinny 12-13yr old !!

any ideas of bar set up please, trials dad,s
