  1. Larry sent me a few pics of your ride there in OK and that did look like some great trials practise ground.Sounds like you guys had a nice time and some good weather. Those are some nice looking Buls you have,I think the slimlines are the best looking of all the twin shockers.

That had to have been one cold night in Tennessee!

  2. Some say that a TY is just a better version of the MAR.I,ve only ridden one MAR and it was in need of some attention, but other than the clutch and brakes I thought it was better handling and liked the power spread better than my TY250A. OK...let the pounding begin. :stupid:

  3. The rear motor mount Larry is showing is from my brothers 199A. I believe it has a history of rode real hard and put away very wet! You might say there is excessive play between the NEW swingarm bushings and the old motor mount.

I,ve had some good conversations over the phone with my new good friend Larry on how to rectify this problem without buying another used and possibly worn out rear mount. He has been kind enough to offer up his machinist skills to repair it and put the motor mount bushing back to it,s correct length and I.D. This is a wonderful site that enables you to tap into the knowledge of others with different skill sets and that have been there and done that.

  4. You have done a nice job on those Sherpa T,s Larry.I had a 92 that I regret selling, but it didn,t look as nice as yours.I ,m not sure, but in the picture it looks like yours is minus the bottom frame rails and maybe has a plated finish. Is it a SM frame? I also like the truck in the first picture.I,ve been looking for one here but they,re always too rusted or they want crazy money for them.

    Cheers, Scott

  5. Thanks Woody.I see that you said the samething in an earlier post so I am sorry for you having to repeat it.From what I can tell by looking around at tire prices the only true tube type is the IRC.I saw one add for a Michelin tube type, clicked on it and it said they were discontinued. The other adds I saw for Michelins said they would work tubed or tubeless depending on the rim.

I,m pretty sure the Dunlop 803 and Pirelli mt43 adds said tubeless only so unless I missed some (quite possible) the only true tubed type trials tire is the IRC. If that is the case it seems like the only one to trust the bead staying where it should on the TY.

  6. Nice looking bike Trum,it looks good in blue.It looks like there might be a cable zip tied on the frame tube so my guess is that it,s cable operated.

It,s pretty cold here, but no snow yet so I,m going to get mine out tomorrow and ride while I can.

  7. Just wanted to thank Woody for the detailed clutch set up instructions. There is a lot in there that I haven,t been doing and probably explains why I wasn,t able to get the clutch working properly on my sherpa t.I can,t wait to get out and work on it.

    Thanks again!
