Hi, replaced the capacitor tonight and the bike fired up first kick and running spot on so just a blown capacitor not sure of the cause,

Hi telecat, my bikes running a bpmr4 and has not been re mapped, should have the capacitor tomorrow so see if that sorts it

That's just what vertigo uk advise I was up there getting it tweaked abit and they say half / full throttle and kick hold until revs pick up,I don't know if that's right or not but if factory say that who am I to argue!!

Should add I usually start the bike with half throttle not keen on full throttle

Spoke to them today and looks like the capacitor has blown carnt fault there after sales a new capacitor is in the post to me all under warranty top after sales

The full throttle is how vertigo advise starting them hold full throttle kick it and let go when the revs pick up don't no why but that's what they advise and no 1st problem I've had and bikes 4mth old

Hi I've got an ice hell 300 The bike starts but immediately dies if you hold the throttle wide open after kicking it the bike revs then dies then revs then dies it keeps doing this until you let go of throttle then it dies it's as if someone holding the kill button but tried a new one and a new plug Anyone had a similar problem Cheers chris

hi I've got a 2014 sherco 300 and i'm wanting to re spray/ powder coat the frame but looking at the frame numbers they seem embossed not engraved and just wondering if anyone's had any experience with getting one of these frames re sprayed/powder coated and will I loose the frame numbers? also what's best powder coating or spraying? any advice much appreciated thanks chrs

Hi Im repairing a 2007 125 for a friend who recently bought the bike as a non runner as it wouldn't engage any gears. I've striped the couch basket out and the casing to find the shift fork broken I've replaced the compleate shift fork assembly and rebuilt the bike all good to this point I ran it for the first time tonight and here are the problems I've got it goes up the gears fine but coming back down goes into neutral between every gear and can only find neutral when bike is off between 5th and 6th gear it also grinders the gear when shifting down any help on this would be. Hi I'm rebuilding a 2007 125 for a friend can anyone advice me on torque settings if any for the clutch basket main securing nut and the 5 or 6 (carnt remember how many at work) spring bolts that secure the front plate to the basket Looked on Google but carnt find anything thanks Chris

hi help needed ive got problems with a keihin carb the bike sounds to be struggling for fuel when running and when the bike is stood after running the carb sometimes leeks fuel and doesn't stop I've striped cleaned and rebuilt the carb but the problem still remains any help/ advice would be much appreciated thanks chris the bike a 2012 280cc racing

hi sorted bike by putting a hose pipe on the radiator hoses and flushed the head/ radiator out

hi Jon i have a few other symptoms these are 1 the bike wont run right feels like the piston is catching the cylinder 2 the foam under the engine has begun to melt i have pulled flywheel and woodruff key is intact

thanks for reply duffers I have stripped water pump down and its all in tacked and turning correctly will pull flywheel tomorrow and have a look at wood ruff key

Hi I have a 2010 gasgas 300 which is running hot and by that I mean after running bike from cold for about 5 mins the head is too hot to touch I have checked the coolant and topped it up but still hot I have been told it could be woodruff key? Could it be this? Any help would be much appreciated thanks

Hi I’ve recently had a plate welded to the back of my exhaust can due to the rear tyre rubbing through and although it does the job it doesn’t look great (that will teach me for not sorting the snapped bracket out when I first noticed the tyre rubbing ) So I was think of warping the exhaust in a carbon fibre wrap just to make it look a bit better but I a bit unsure whether it work and wouldn't just melt from the heat of the exhaust. So has anyone tried this did it work? And does anyone know if you can get heat resistant carbon fibre wrap Thanks in advance Chris
