  1. Just had the same issue with my old 98 beta. With the caliper removed you can see the piston come out and return in with each press of the pedal. So when the pad wears half way you lose the pedal effect and it feels like you have air or goosed seals. So new pads do the job and give you instant response. Maybe the piston seals are too small by design and allow the piston to move back in once the pdeal is released. I wonder how many kits for master and slave beta have sold for nothing. You could put packers behind the worn pads if you want to use all the pad and can't afford the £13 to replace them. Hope this is useful.
  2. Thanks for the 99. I'm offshore at the mo so won't be downloading until I get home. I was also having issues with the clutch master and slave. Can't build any pressure with the clutch lever. Checked the seals and they seem fine. slave looks like it may have jammed in postion. Can't see any easy way to extract. do the line have to be primed up the way with a sringe? Where's was the speed sensor on this unit for the read out on the tank? There are 2 bare wires at the back wheel which look suspect. cheers
  3. A nice electrical diagram would be nice and an owners manual. I have the parts breakdown which seems to be freely available. cheers rabie - I only had an italian parts list previously.

    Techno 98

Hi I have recently purchased a beta techno 98 (dougie lampkin 97 replica). Trying to find manuals etc seems to be an issue even for Beta. I found a few available but the info is very blurred and not much use. Can anyone help?? Many thanks for any help. Dave
