Here is a bike I did a foot peg mount modification and welded some bash guard frame rails in, added a gasgas rear wheel and mini brake mount it was a pretty cool bike. I'd like to do a cub 90 next.

What Make is this bike, is it in the US

How did you get the head tube of the triple clamps to fit through the frame, iv looked at a few honda cub/c90 frames with the idea of doing a off road mod but the head tubes have all been designed for a old fork with a very thin head tube. Cheers.

I cut the head tube off the donor bike and welded it to the Honda cub

  3. It’s been awhile but here it is my 1965 Honda cub Adventure bike. It feels very trials like to ride weights about 170lbs and turning radius is very good I have about 16hrs of ride time on it and couldn’t be happier.

I am intrigued by your workspace and that giant table frame, what usually goes on there?

The company I work for we build Medical Mobile Units that’s the fabrication shop I’m in there’s many tables bigger as well

Make sure you know your intended shock length and expected sag at the rear before modifying the front. Swingarm angle can have a significant effect

Yes I’m trying to figure that out now, not sure if I should figure ground clearance right now it’s sitting at 15” maybe alittle to much?

This is often not done because as soon as you replace the head tube you no longer have the same VIN / serial number, so in most places it can't be road registered as the intended bike (I don't know how it works for inspection at higher level classic trials events)

So just went out and looked at my build and on a early 60s Honda cub the VIN appears to be on the body left side above the engine not on the head tube I looked there to and no vin so guess I’m good to go either way :)

  7. Was just looking to get something to ride around with my grandson on the trails so I decided to build something and this is what I’ve come up with so far. A early 60s Honda cub with 06 kx85 suspension but still twin shocks and build my own tank, still a long ways to go
