    Well I don't know if it was a standard mod but my 74 TY250a has one. (But then it was a mongrel when I got it lots of weird parts) When you take the 2 plug head off I would be interested if it was higher or lower compression?

    If the key was there and in two pieces it was not for adjusting the timing. replace the key.
