  5. Thank you jfc... Should the vent pipe be pointing up or down or does this not matter. I noticed on the right side of the carb (while sitting on the bike) There is a breather / vent pipe to the right of the carb facing down ??
  6. Hi, just had alook at the carb, Thanks copemech...just found where the fuel is coming from . The left front bottom of the bowl, should there be a pipe on this to return it into the carb or should it be left open ?
  7. Hi all, Just spotted some fuel on my sumpguard, cleaned it off and took the bike out. Came back after about five minns and let the bike tick over, turned it off and a small damp patch again... while taking the carb off I spotted the jubille clip, the one on the reed side was loose, After renewing it and putting it back together and also checking the rest of the carb. fired the bike up, spot on and give it a test ride, still have a small damp fuel patch. Could this just be the overflow or is this a commen problem whith the keilin carb . Thanks Deano.
  8. Thanks so much for the feedback guys, most will be done to the bike. Enjoy your trials... Deano

    New Bike

Hi all, After selling my trusty 04 gasgas pro 250, ive just perchased a 2012 sherco 290 . Could anyone tell me the correct oil for this, and also is there any gremlines i should watch out for. Ive had the bike out for about an hour just to make shure its ok. all seams fine. A little more ooomph than the gassa, Anyway of calming it down, I was looking for a 250 but not alot out there. New fork socks to go on, anyone got some torque settings for the clamps, or a manual i can get my hans on. Any info would be welcome. Cheers Deano. P. S. Keep ya feet up..
  13. Hi Joe, My advise would be Go for it, Its a fantastic sport, good crack & very addictive... There are loads of local trials, and some local venues to practice. Iam in the process of buying a new bike its that addictive . I started trials two years ago and had never road a bike in my life...It was a bit dawnting turning up at the trial with approx. 50 bikes there but got a warm welcome and looked after. I wish I had started younger . There is trials on every week just about.
  14. Thanks for the info, I rode a 2014 Gas Gas last week just for five mins and the suspention was very, very nice, lovely smooth throttle response. Sherco a bit to complex then ? .
  15. Well I do like the look of the 2011 model, Ive always looked after my GasGas and had no problems with it. Good maintainance works... .
  16. Hi all, Ive been trialing a Gas Gas for the last year now and I fancy a newer bike. . Been looking at some Sherco's about 2011 model and asking quite a few people what they think of them. The reply I have been getting seams to be not all that good, electrical & stater problems. I know any bike can give you problems but the sherco seams to be sticking its neck out for not having the reliability. Any body out there with a Sherco... "good or bad".
  17. Areeet.... had a good trial the last time I was down there, only dropped 10
  18. New to TC. Just joined the site and finding my way round it, After going down the motorsport route of rallying for the past 20 years (ESCORT MK2) decided to take up trials And luv it to bits...not road a motorbike EVER...bought a sherco 250 and nearly killed myself at rogerly quarry last year. sold that and bought a GasGas pro . stripped the bike and built it back up from scratch...NEW everything and riding it nice now. Still on the easy course at the moment and getting better after each trial, and learning the sport. Hope to c yuzz out and about Deano
