  1. Had to do some work at Solvay Polymers. No beards allowed!
  2. 2015 Barber Vintage Festival. Leeds Alabama. Had a great turn out for trials and the sections were very well put together.
  3. Got out and played motocrosser on the sherpa for awhile today. Weather has cooled off and three trials coming up. Love this time of year!
  4. I also like the green Stuart. Very nice! A few pics while playing around the mill.
  5. Finally got around to timing the rat with a dial indicator using the adapter lbhbul made for me. I was using a stick indicator, but the dial is much more accurate. The adapter was milled out of a spark plug base. Pretty slick! Tripp
  6. Packed the bikes and the camper and headed out to an Ahrma trial in Washington Georgia. Vintage trials, motocross, cross country, and flat track. Dave Aldana usually shows up to race flat track. He is always a joy to watch. Good fun. Tripp
  7. Guys. After playing on the teeter totter today I have found that mastering that trick may take awhile. I either go too far or stop too short. The center pivot is two feet up so dabbing is not an option. I have blipped the throttle and hopped off the side a few times. Good practice. Tripp
  8. After seeing the teeter totter picture that Bultaco 199 posted I decided to make my own. Quite an odd feeling when the beam drops. Tripp
  9. Bultaco199 Love the teeter totter pic. Keep them coming. Tripp
  10. Disassembled the forks on the rat. ( model 92 ) Removed the double seals in each leg and did a thorough cleaning. Replaced the seals with a single KTM sx65 seal in each leg. I also tightened the springs in each seal. Not sure who came up with this mod, but I learned it from Larry. Refilled with 180cc of ATF in each leg. I can say that I am very pleased with the result. Tripp
  11. The rat is getting a new pair of shoes today. Irc tr011 Just like Larry said. "They feel a lot like bubble gum but they smell better"
  12. I have not done this in awhile. Gives a whole new meaning to throttle control!
  13. Bondy Both of the cables on the rat have removable ends. I found it easier to remove the cables and feed them through. The other bike will be a challenge because it's cables have fixed ends. I will give it a go today with some wd40. Thanks for the tip. Tripp
  14. Installed some lever covers and a new kick stand spring. Went for a ride after dark. Almost a full moon, clear, and cool. Tripp
  15. Beautiful bike 199! Looks like a great riding area also. Tripp
  16. Out and about on sweetie pie today. Swapped the tr9 irc, that came with the bike, for an 011 irc rear. O what a difference!
  17. Added a few shiny bits that Larry, lbhbul, turned for me on the lathe. Bar ends to help keep your grips from tearing when you drop the bike. Kick start rubber retainer. Wheel spacer. Tank mount rubber and washer. Foot peg bushings.
  18. On one of my club feets. I guess it's club foots. Foots feets whatever. Also upside down. It has been one of those days! Tripp
  19. Glad to see your bellows are not a problem! Time for reassembly and riding. Wish I were there. Just installed the 151 frame, swing arm, and wheel, that I picked up from Larry during our visit. A definite upgrade for the Rat. The original model 92 frame was bent badly. Swapped it for an alpina frame. Now swapped for a proper sherpa frame again. 3 frames in a year and a half. Tripp
  20. Just returned home from a 2150 mile round trip to visit Larry, aka lbhbul. Left home last Friday to ride a trial in Graysville Tennessee and then headed west to spend a few days with Larry. He and his wife Sue put me up in their home for three nights and we had a grand time. Sue made home cooked meals and Larry took me riding with his friends and his son. The food was wonderful. Thank you Sue! Larry took me riding on some of the finest trials terrain I have ever seen. Oklahoma is beautiful country. The pictures are from my camp out in Tennessee. It snowed Friday night and the low temp was around 19 degrees. Hopefully Larry can add some action shots to this post. He has all the pics. Tripp
  21. Too clean. but not on the stand.
