    about 5 months or so, never had a 4 stroke bike before but its a lovely bike to ride even for my limited ability lol

    camchain tensioner was ok, decompressor spring ok, turns out loose camchain pulley bolts were the culprit. Now torqued back up with loctite and runs like a Swiss watch again

    Hi Was riding the bike today in a trial and it was running great all of a sudden it just started rattling really loudly from the top end no warning or anything. All levels ok and fan was cutting in and out as usual, any ideas? Cheers Andy

  14. Thanks for the reply Feetupfun I have a Size 3 in the bike I ride but the other one has a 2.5 not sure if this makes a difference or not?
  15. Hi Everyone I'm rebuilding a TY 250 to go with my working TY 250 and have a carb to fit to it but it has a different slide in than my working bike, what is the correct slide number? both carbs have the main jet in the float bowl. Kind regards Andy

  18. I didn't go down the raised motor route as the trials that I ride in don't need the extra ground clearance, with regard to the swing arm Godden framed Majesty's did have a lengthened swing arm. I did take advice from the guy at Bavins and he said it easier to ride on steep hills etc. Its not going to be an exact replica as I'm going down the black and white colour scheme route probably won't be to everybody's taste but it's not their bike lol

Hi Jon I've literally just started the project, I did a bit of searching on the web and the name Bavins of Diss came up so I spoke to him and he said he had done a few conversions, so at the moment he has the frame to alter the shock mounts, extend the rear swing arm and grind off and clean up all the lugs etc that are not used and he's also getting it powder coated for me. I will post some pictures of the frame when I get it back in around 2-3 weeks

  21. Hi Everyone I am in the process of converting a TY 250 frame to Majesty spec, does anyone know what the rear shock length is or did they use the original shock? Regards Andy

    Thanks for the replies guys, I'm pretty sure the carb jets are ok as I have stripped it and blown all through the jets with compressed air, but I will check the tank breather and the inlet rubber for leaks. If its the flywheel crank seal is the seal accessible from behind the stator? Thanks Andy

    1978 Ty250

    Hi, just bought TY 250 and the castle nut on the rear wheel spindle is tightened up way past the holes for the split pin, is there a spacer between the wheel bearing dust cover and the swing arm on the sprocket side? Cheers Andy

    Beta Techno 250

    Hi I have just back into trials after a 30 year break with a 1997 Beta Techno, bikes starts and runs fine, spark plug is a nice light brown colour the only problem is after blipping the throttle it seems to take an age to return to tick over. The throttle grip is nice and free and the cable is not sticking or anything, any ideas please? Thanks Andy
