Bryan, I agree with what has already been posted in this thread. But since you are in AZ I thought I'd mention that you could call Dirt Riders West @ (602) 370-7546 as they helped me tune a 300 exactly the way I wanted it. I'm not affiliated with Dirt Riders West just mentioning them as another source of tuning info.
  2. Thank you Gentlemen! I intend to go with the suggestions from both of you.
  3. Well the generous and appreciated responses I have received have made me realize I asked the wrong question... The question I should have asked was: do the Jitsie 173 pads squeek or make excessive noise? I'm looking for quiet rear brakes.
  4. Does anyone know if the Jitsie 173 (not the 173 race) rear brake pads are sintered? It's not terribly obvious to me from the Jitsie website...

The fork springs are brittle? Or did I misunderstand?

I'll measure my spring and see if it matches the splat shop olle/r16v dimensions. Thanks for the link!

No. Not at all. I'm quite familiar with the light-duty aspect of trials sidestands. The sidestand bracket has just folded up due to nothing more than the weight of the bike. It doesn't do it all at once but every time its used it bends a little farther. I've spoken to two other Beta 4T owners that have experienced the same issue. One removed the sidestand, something I don't want to do, and the other had a machinist fabricate a stronger bracket. I was hoping not to have to go the later route, but I can if necessary. I tried to order a new bracket to use as a template for fabricating a stronger version, but my dealer tells me they are on indefinite back order. This may just be that the importer isn't stocking any or it could be an indication of a larger issue. Maybe a batch of brackets that missed getting hardened in manufacturing?? Anyway, thanks to everyone for the responses. Much appreciated.

Does anyone have a solution to the easily bent sidestand mounting bracket for late model 4Ts? I use mine fairly frequently otherwise I would just remove it. My dealer says there are no options but I thought I'd ask before trying to fabricate a better solution.
  10. I've been trying to order a heavier shock spring for my weight but the importer seems to be having issues determining what spring is on the bike. The shock is a fully adjustable comp/reb R16V. It appears to be very similar to what is on the base Montesa. Does anyone know if the spring is the same as the Montesa or of an aftermarket source for a spring, outside of having a spring custom made?
