We are off to Bumpy for a second time tomorrow so I will convince her to give it a little go. She tried offroading with me when I had a mx bike but complained her a*** hurt and it put her off can't use that excuse on a trials bike though can she!
I'll have to keep a look out for some local events and get myself out there. Just doesn't help that I am incredibly shy. Thanks so much for all your advice
Get yourself over tong on Saturday there's always plenty of friendly trials riders around to tag along with. I generally go and find people to tag along with
Thanks for saying hi guys. Sorry I didn't make sense with that comment because my t'other half doesn't actually ride. She is a Landy offroader and is set on her 'you don't go offroading on your own' rule so she insists on coming with me incase the worst should happen. Would be lovely to have a mate to ride with so she doesn't have to stand in the cold. I would love to join a club, can you recommend any around Barnsley, Wakefield, Leeds area? It's OK to join a club even with zero experience? Do many women ride trials bikes?
there's usually a few women riders go to tong, Bradford (Parkwood 4x4 leisure) but its only one Saturday a month (first Saturday on the month)
There's huddersfield falcons, barnsley trials club, spen valley club, I'm not too sure if the Bradford trials club is running any trials this year.
we ride a fair bit over in rochdale at cowm quarry most weekends
Is that on the opposite side of the venue or top end of the road? I think it should be ok up the normal road
that's the opposite side of the venue. if you approach it from the penistone end you go up a narrow road to the quarry, if you come from the Hepworth/birds edge side you will need to park at the end of the farmers track on the crossroads somewhere
On google maps it looks like you can come down from the opposite way and theres no trees etc.
Trust me you wont make it unless you are in a 4x4 and its been lifted. Its a farmers track from the top. Being a local lad from that area I can say you could park carefully at the top crossroads and ride down though.
no sorry you need to remove the side cover but its not an issue. lay the bike on the right side and take the cover off, this way you wont lose any oil and its not as messy

So if you have the software and cables how easy is it to access the maps. From what I can see there are a few maps for experts or B graders but not many for clubman/c graders. It looks like 4RT sell well in Japan and there is alot of after market products available for 4RT in Japan so I am thinking the Japanese would have more of a range of maps available for mere mortals riders. Would that be correct. I tried looking on Japanese websites but strangely there all in Japanese and my japanese is not to good.
From what I can see you can make your own maps but that seems quite complex to me a mere mortal.
There are a fair few maps out there to use. Ive modified write a few for my 280 4rt
Some suspension advice please.
