Hi following on from trying to spray the tank I now know the poss problems involved , my bike is a montesa 200 with the red plastic tank is it poss to convert it to the alloy tank and a new cover as I was wanting to go for the white look would these fit or are all models different sizes , thanks ribsie

Hi recently got a 349 the problem is I can only get it to start, after I have dismantled the carb and cleaned it with carb cleaner then it starts ok over and over, but when I let it stand overnight then it will not kick over and I need to strip it down again clean it and it’s ok for that day but next day same thing, any help appreciated. Cheers

  7. Hi Neil it's all there but the top half has a crack that I just noticd as I stripped it to clean so I could move things across from one to another not sure if your aloud to ask about prices as new to this site thanks kev

Hi I have a mh349 that I'm trying to get sorted thanks for the advice regarding the clutch i have now turned to the carb and I need a replacment as this one is cracked on the upper body it's a Amal L2627. 416 there's a couple on the net but with parts missing so worried there's a reason they were stripped any advice would be great thanks
  9. thanks for the response for the clutch side I've got weastway SAE30 and for the gearbox westway 80w90 gear oil been told 300cc in each does this sound right thanks

Hi thanks for that what I did notice was that when I was turning the wheel on the box in 6th gear it was disengaging when you pulled clutch in but the others still seamed to lock up mind this was only doing it buy hand. Any idea what length the brass pusher should be as my parts list has 5 different part numbers depending on length thanks

Hi thanks for all the advice can I just recap on what I've tried with the clutch pulled in the engine would not turn over but it would with the clutch released as I was told should happen with the bike on a box I could select the gears when I rocked the rear wheel but clutch would not disengage when released as i had the original spare engine I took the clutch basket and with the spider leg and used gentle pressure in the vise and the plates were all moving freely i then pulled the one from the bike and this was the same but when I put it together again it was the same the clutch is not disengaging although the engine will not turn over when clutch pulled in but will when released already had good advice but still having the same problem thanks
