Montesa Electrics
Hi, I am rebuilding a Cota 330 and was wondering if anyone can steer me towards a magneto and stator. The bike was savagely treated and the previous owner tried to get the magneto off by using a couple screwdrivers which destroyed the cases and the stator. I think the 349/4 or the 350 will work as well. Thanks.

I just bought a Montesa Cota 330 and after measurng the bore and the piston I come up with a tolerance of aprox 0.12 MM. Too much?? Should I rebore to the next size or would a new standard size piston be acceptable?? Can anyone help?- 240 or 300 Professional?
A 200 is available as well, but with that engine 160CC engine, do you really think there is enough grunt there for classic trials?- 240 or 300 Professional?
I have the opportunity to buy either a 240 or a 300 for clubman type trials. My level is mid-level, which do you think would be best?? What about engine rebuilding, where can I get parts like piston, new clutch, etc. Thanks for the opinions and info!- Ossa Gripper Info Please
Andy, the carb specs were taken off a bike which I recently sold. The bike worked very well as the complete motor I rebuilt. So I really cant tell you much more. The slide data you give me is way off. The number one slide is a lot richer so maybe the bike isn- Ossa Gripper Info Please
Hi and good luck with the gripper. Here is the info you need for the carb Amal 2627-408 is the correct carb 130 Main jet 15 Low speed jet 105 Needle jet 2B1 needle in the 3rd position No.1 slide (gas valve) 2.5 Air jet (found on the filer side of the carb) With that the bike should run perfectly (maybe a little fat on the bottom). Take care and if you need any other gripper info let me know, I have rebuilt a number of them and am working on one now.- Dellorto Phbh Carb On A Cota 349
