  1. Yes, Pennsylvania. I started it, shut it off, and bought it. Rolling it into the garage, it was clicking. I figured it was that obnoxious rear tire contacting something. That chain guide may be the cause. Thanks.
  2. I just picked up a 2003 (?) SY250 on FB. It's the newest trials bike i've owned, and i'm pretty excited about it. There were a couple mid-70's TY's in the mix, so i dig the fact this bike has a Yamaha motor. What i need, though, is a manual or something to familiarize myself with this machine. I've struck out on the web. I'm grateful for any advice.
  3. Others have said this, but the ty175 does feel cramped. I'm 5' 10" and about 160lbs. That said, i think it's a better bike than the 250. I swapped my forks for a set from a 250, which you might consider if you go that route.
  4. I'm with you. I've been working on a '51 18S for about 6 months. It was a basket case, and i had intended to build a pre-unit trials bike out of it. That probably won't happen, now that i've found all the right tinwork... There's no way i could care less about being competitive. I'm going to try to build a rigid 350 from parts once this bike is finished. People will worship me when i show up at the vintage events. I do have a tl, so i'm not opposed to the twinshock thing. I just like the idea of struggling with a big, heavy machine.
