Having had bikes for over 30 years and worked on engines for about that long. I would say that is not right, I would move the lead away from where it is. I would also say that the plug lead is breaking down. You could try some ignition sealer available from Halfords or the like. Hope this helps.

New to this forum Would like a bit of advise, have just got hold of a 95 250 Beta Techno. It had an engine rebuild and was run for a while before being laid up for about a year until now. When we started it, there is knocking noise from the clutch area, there should be no problems in there, and we suspect its the clutch that has dried out and causeing clutch chatter. Have come across this on other bikes, but not quite as load as this. Anyone come across this, any advise. www.greenlaning.co.nr
