  1. Hi After trying a few different products, I've been using a product called SureSeal which is on http://www.tankcareproducts.co.uk/Sureseal.pdf I've done 5 Armstrong fibreglass tanks which were all leaking like sieves and all of them are dry as a bone now. Make sure you clean them out very well, take your time with sloshing the stuff around the tank to make sure its evenly distributed and leave it for at least 7 days to cure. Cheers John
  2. Glad you like the site. Not seen any 240/350 airboxes about but will keep looking. You might be able to mod a 320 one for the 350?? If anyone's got a chassis parts book or user manual for the 240 or 350 models I'd be really keen to have a copy Cheers John
  3. Hi You've probably got this sorted out by now, but check the sealing of the inlet manifold to the cylinder. I've had the same problem on 2 bikes. The design is terrible - there is an 'o' ring but it's fitted to a very rough casting and the three bits of metal that hold the manifold in place don't hold the manifold square into the cylinder. check the fit of the 'o' ring and use some non-acidic silicone sealer between the manifold and cylinder. This fixed both of mine. Cheers John
  4. Hi Just saw your post & I guess you've sorted it by now, but anyway the bike (240 Rotax) was fitted with an AMAL 2627 carb, with settings as follows: Slide '22' - yes 22 - this was a special slide for armstrong and it's just a 2.0 filed a bit to make it 1/2 way between 2.0 and 2.5 Needle 2B1 Needle jet 106 Pilot jet 20 Main jet 130 Spec. L2627/1 I have tried both a new AMAL and a new Dellorto and the AMAL seemed better. However, to get the engine to pull well at the bottom end it was necessary to retard the ign. timing to the most retarded position as specified in the SWM 240TL manual ( I don't think Armstrong ever made a manual for this bike ??). Otherwise it's a nice bike. 'hope this helps John
