  2. I can't read my engine number but my frame number is 34004255 Fantic 403 DGM 51320 OM can anybody tell me what year the bike is from these number? Thanks
  3. Lee, My big problem is the bike came without a tensioner so I dont have anything to compare it to. I also do not know if it is an 84 or 85 model. Cheers again Paul
  4. Lee I can't seem to make any of them fit. There is no rear loop on my frame. Does that mean it is supposed to have the part that fits on the swingarm. Where exactly on the swingarm is it supposed to fit? Are the tensioners different, is there a specific part for the swingarm and a specific part for the frame? I can't list pics at the mo but just bought a fourth one on ebay.com this morning, if you want to take a look at it the item number is 350094393786. Cheers for you help Paul
  5. Can somebody please tell me where and how the chain tensioner fits on my 300??? I have now collected three different types of tensioner (all different but all supposed to fit the 300) Does the armt fit on the swingarm on the hole underneath where the chain guard bolts on? Or does it somehow bolt on the frame/bash plate/engine? Does the rubber let the chain run over it or should the rubber push down from above? Please help! Many thanks Paul
  6. I forgot to ask how many cc/ml does the engine hold? Thanks again
  7. Can anybody please tell me the best type and weight of engine/gearbox oil for my Fantic 300 Professional? Many thanks Paul
  8. There is an ad on the inside cover of 'Classic Dirt Bike' issue six showing the ignitions...
  9. Has anybody tried out the electrex world ignition from the UK? any good? Thanks
  10. Gentlemen, as always many thanks for your kind advice and help...I went out and bought some adhesive this afternoon..Cheers again from PW
  11. Can anybody please help me by telling me the best type of glue/adhesive to use to stick down my new seat cover on my 199a? Any tips on how to do this successfully would also be appreciated. Cheers Paul
  12. Christopher--I have I believe an early green model, possibly a 1981 model. The bike with white plastics maybe an 82 model? I believe the 82 model was a lot lighter. It seems like most USA models are green. I hope that helps...Paul
  13. Thanks for the help with correct sizing of forks... Cheers Paul
  14. Thanks everybody for the help and advice...I have seen one going cheap on ebay over here in the states. I plan to buy a tank from classic trial but thought about buyinh this 240 tank anyway. Can anybody help confirm if the 240 fork yokes take the same size diameter fork tubes as the 300 yokes? Thanks again to all.
  15. Does anybody know for sure if a 300 fuel tank and chain tensioner will fit a 300? Many thanks
  16. I will defo carefully take the one remaining tank badge off and have somebody reproduce it for me, I may even do the side panels graphics if I can get them off without knackering them up! I will make sure to get you as many sets as you like when I get to it. Thanks for the contact name, I will def give Steve a call. Not sure about the crank seals as it is not smoking at all! My good friend here who is a great tuner thought about putting a 26mm Mikuni VM on it as he has had a lot of success on our Bults with 28mm VM's. What do you think, any ideas on that one? I honestly can't say I could compare the two bikes as the furthest I have ridden the Kermit is round the carpark half a dozen times! Sounds like a good idea on that gear lever/brake pedal set up you have...Mine seems to hit when the kicker returns. I will tie everything out of the way when I start it in future. Are you the only person who rides the Kermit in the UK? Cheers again Paul
  17. http://www.flickr.com/photos/elsinore250/s...ith/2298453661/ Tommo, Thanks for the compliment mate...Thought you might like a pic of the Italjet next to my 199a. I think I will take the one good tank badge of very carefully and have a number of sets made. When I do so I shall make sure you get a couple of sets if you'd like? The rear mudguard is correct but the back of it has been cut off. You will also notice the rear license plate holder has been broken and bolted back together...If you ever come across any guards please let me know. I will buy some jets for the carb one day and see if I can get her running bang on! Cheers again Paul PS. I will bring it back home to Leeds W.Yorks one day and maybe even enter it in a trial just to help you with all those doubters!
  18. Thanks for all the advice on the kickstart, I do know that this is the big problem with the bike. I do not plan to ride it at all because of this. The bike starts fine but has no power, it seems like the jetting is out a mile or it needs new points or something, any ideas? Will I ever find that rear mudguard and tank badges! Thanks to all

  21. I am having trouble uploading my pictures and must be thick! They are on www.flickr.com under 'Italjet 350T'. If anybody can upload them onto this site for people to see them, then that would be great. Thanks....
  22. I will gladly email pics. My email address is paulfromuk2002@yahoo.com
  23. I do not know how to upload them! What do I need to do?
  24. I have just come across a very very nice, low hour and totally original Italjet 350T with only 424 miles on it. It has front and rear lights (even the rear brake light switch is still there) working horn and speedo and believe it or not the kickstart is not broken!. I would like to try and find a new back mudguard as it has been cut down a little. It ould also do with a new air filter, points and condensor, front mudguard and a side stand. I know these bikes are rare and parts are hard to come across but can anybody please help me out with any contact names? The bike was found in South Carolina but is now with me in Atlanta, Georgia. I hope to bring it back with me one day to Leeds, Yorkshire... Thanks for any help given... Paul
  25. I am going to install a new Mikuni VM26 on my Fantic 300. can anybody help with jetting recommendation please? Many thanks...
