hi gasgas thanks for your reply. i dont know that much about the history of this bike(if it was dismantled etc) it was advertised in my local freee ads as a montesa which has been stood for 5 years. on seeing the bike i knew it wasnt a montesa but stilll purchased it as it looked a good bike for restore. ive found some spec on the bike and two differences ive seen are that it has a phbh26fs delorto when ive seen it should have a phbh28bs? it aslo has a ngk br7es ngk spark plug in it when its rated at bp8es?. the bike kicks easily and sparks well but the carb looks a bit naff to be honest. im dismantling ithe carb this weekend and checking it out. its tried to kick a couple of times but not sure if ffrom reading posts on here if the piston might be out. is it a bultaco 325 piston i could put in it.? to be honest i was looking to buy an easy project as im okay with my tiger and most of the major work which has been none so far gets done by my local garage. ive re-built a tessa which obviously was easier as parts are ten a penny but this ones gonna play with my knowledge. this bike was to be for me and my son messing on the flappits but from reading about the bike now it would cost me a fotune to keep running. so i think ive made a bit of a booboo. the plastics are in fair condition as is the bike though. ill put up some pics this week and see what you think. thanks for your time and answers.

ive just got a mecatecno skywalker. boohoo. parts? what are they? it will be kick ass but expensive to run. :-(

hello all. im posting this as i have just bought a mecatecno skywalker and am looking for advice on where to get parts, information, and any help possible. i have a triumph tiger and bought this bike with my son as a non runner. when i went to see it i to be honest had never heard of them and i now know why. from wht i gather they were made by 3 chaps who left derbi in 1986 to go it alone ive also heard that there are only 200 ever made. if this is true god im going to find it hard to get parts. its beenhell getting any info on this rare bike so i am hoping all you guys out there can help. im sorry if this listing is in the wrong place its just there is no listing on here for this bike. everything is intact on the bike i just cant get the bugger kicking up. i have spark but cant get a kick. i also have good compression but am finding it hard to get wiring diagrams, compression ratios etc. any help would be gratefully received. thank you in advance.

hello there all. im new this week on here and thought id get a hello in before reading up. im 44. a single dad of 3 kids. at present i have a triumph tiger and have just purchased a mecatecno skywalker, god its hard to find parts for. ive had a kawasaki ninja but wasnt keen, a dragstar which was fun and a ffew id not like to mention. anyway hello all and i look forward to some good chats.
