  1. Ok. I think my mind is set on a montesa cota 315r. In terms of maintenece/repair its not a problem as i can fix most things. what sources are there for purchasing a trials bike (other than e-bay)? Any other decent websites that advertise bikes. I am in the North East so any reccomendations for local places to buy would be apprichiated cheers nathan
  2. 1999-2003 Montesa Cota 315R aluminium frame? Nathan
  3. What are peoples perception of a Montesa Cota 315R around 03? Any problems with this bike? As I am only using for light trials riding at a weekend would this bike do the trick. Again, I am upgrading from a 92 Aprilia Climber so I assume this will be a big improvement. Any thoughts? Cheers Nathan
  4. Hi. I am thinking of buying a newer trials bike than the 92 Aprilia Climber 280 I currently own. I have around the
  5. I could also still do with any information going on the front forks (USD) for a 1992 Climber 280. Attempting to rebuilt forks but need to know what should be there so i can attempt to make them work. Previous owner has had a go and failed miserably. Forks are a miss match of parts and are rock solid when riding, any diagrams/worksheets or anything would be much apprichiated. e-mail: nathanharold@blueyonder.co.uk many thanks nathan
  6. Hi. Can anyone supply me with the specification of the front forks for an Aprilia Climber 1992 280R. The forks feel quite hard, I have stripped forks down and found the internals to be a mix of parts to make it "work". An exploded diagram would be ideal with info like spring dimensions and spacer sizes etc so i can rebuild them somewhere near to the original specification. Any info greatly apprichiated. e-mail: nathanharold@blueyonder.co.uk if you can send any diagrams cheers nathan
  7. Hi guys. I own a 1992 aprilia climber 280R. The rear shock has gone and is bouncing around, making it hard to drive. Anyone know where to get a replacement part? Cheers Nathan
  8. Hi, i have the same bike, aprilia climber 280. Parts are a nightmare to get, another thing is they have a poor kickstart knuckle so you need to keep tightening it, i take an allan key with me when i use my bike. the bike uses a rotax engine, and any parts needed for the engine can be got from the rotax man, http://www.rotax.co.uk/, who will post any parts you may need, also priced reasonably. the forks have gone on my bike so i am currently looking for some. They are a good bike but as you said, parts and info and few and far between, great bike tho. hope that helped a little
  9. Hi, i am new to this site and am trying to find some help regarding my trials bike. I am the proud owner of an aprilia climber 280 (world championship replica) i have had a few problems with this bike, any engine problems see the rotax man, he can get any part. Lately i have been advancing to the level of trials where the front suspention's performance becomes critical and have noticed it is slightly hard and jerky. Upon investigation some pillock who owned the bike before me has "modified" the suspention internals using parts off a different bike so the suspention does not work how it shoud. I know parts are very limited for this machine but any information on what i could do or what forks may fit this bike off another bike or if i can fix the internals...whatever. any information would be greatly appriciated as it is out of use at the moment. Many thanks Nathan
