bikeskint started following Kickstart intermediate pinion removal , Nibbi carburettor , Tr 77 350 Amal carburettor and 2 others
-
Anyone used the nibbi carb as a replacement..? The Amal MK2 2627 on my TR77 needs a complete rebuild including a New slide. I can buy the nibbi And a selection of jets cheaper 🤦♂️ do I replace or rebuild
-
Ok just an update.. the carburettor slide was gummed up And by the paperwork supplied by the previous owner they had paid a reputable bike garage to strip And clean the carburettor And service the bike seems the garage took the money And didn't do anything 🤦♂️

Hi all my ossa 350 has an Amal MK2 2627 carburettor fitted I want to buy a rebuild kit so does anyone have an idea on what jets, needle, And needle setting, and slide I need please,(slide is very worn)

Hi Alan I've only had the bike a few days so haven't actually done anything to it, when I collected it it kicked over fine.. IN neutral it's solid and no movement..with the clutch IN there is kickstart stroke but no engagement?
-
Have tried the obvious (rocking etc) but thanks Will try a tow start later and see if it re syncs with the engine running.. if not it's off with the clutch case I guess 🤦♂️
-
Hi again.. I've not started the bike for a couple of days and now the kickstart is not moving.. I can literally stand on it And no movement..if I pull the clutch it goes full stroke.. also if I remove the plug so no compression And put it in second I can crank the bike forward on the kickstart.. any ideas please on what is going on? Stuck or damaged gearing
-
Hi just picked up a 1978 tr77 starts lovely and idles nicely BUT after a few minutes it will pick up the revs to almost maximum without any input without sounding dense where do i start?
-
Hi all .. I've managed to almost resolve the clutch issues.. but I've noticed the back cog for the kickstart gear ⚙️ is very damaged And no longer meshing looks like the circlip was never replaced 🤦♂️...how do I get it out? It's behind the gear selector finger ! Do I have to remove the whole gear selector shaft or is there an easier way..

Yeah have since ordered that little brass pressure pawl also a new spider as the centre looks worn in motion trial's recommended a 20 mm spider (base to tip of the leg) And to grind down to 15 mm instead of the standard 13 mm many thanks for your help

I can rock the bike And click up thro the gears And back down I'm pretty sure Now that it's a very tired clutch as plates look IN pretty poor condition 😔

Thank you so much for the PDF 👍

I can feel the mechanism trying to activate the clutch 👍 I actually can't start And change up to a high gear thank you for your help
-
Anyone still alive on here that has any information on the clutch assembly? *******o clutch will not disingage ( stuck in gear) all gears selectable... Have soaked the basket in petrol and doesn't seem to be sticking.. really need an exploded diagram as I feel a crucial part maybe missing.. engine was rebuilt by someone else.. even the tiniest information would be great 👍
