  1. Sorry bad choice of words by me, I guess what I was trying to say by genuine is it was an aftermarket manufactured copy of the original pipe, rather than one made by someone, but know one is going to believe I ment that !!! so I understand your comment. What I found quite worring in your reply is the Scamming you say goes on, I think your probably right as it seems to be me as the victim, like this S/Steel pipe......... the original one I bought and I paid strong money for it because prior to that I couldn't find one or seen one come up for sale, couple of months later theres another one now.... or is it the bus scenario wait for one and two turn up.... Simon
  2. Here is a can of worms I have owned 3 TLR's and everyone has had cracks in the same place (photo below shows), there must be others that have come across this or have I been extremely unlucky. On each one of the TLR's I have owned I have repaired the cracks by MIG welding it, BUT after speaking to a bike exhaust manufacture have I done the right thing ? as I have now been told brazing it would of been better...... ANY ADVICE OUT THERE ? The rough frame is a TLR200 third picture is of a TLR250 frame my present project, I plan to create a full Pictured rebuild for viewing after Christmas of the 250 Look forward to hearing comments....... Simon

  6. It was me............... I bought the s/steel pipe on ebay, I have spent hours online and contacting dealerships and could not find one anywhere, SO if there is a supplier out there, I would love know where they hide Now theres an opportunity for someone in manufacturing...........making s/steel pipes for TLR's , think I know who will do it...... M.....e I know it was alot to pay but going by my research what do you do, least I know it won't rust at the end as they do and will last, as long as I don't damage it........... S...
  7. Hi Phil I live near Chch and I have found much the same problem for choice and supply in NZ, nothing on trademe and trialnz has limited stock and high prices. As for what type to purchase there's plenty of arguments about brands on here even Falcon's have for and against, I guess like me its what you can afford, coming from the UK I'm lucky enough to still be registered on ebay so get a few bits this way, I myself have just ordered a pair of 16" Betor's for my TLR250, apparently these lenghts can be used on 200's and helps improve the steering. The price would work out to be about $280 NZD delivered from UK to NZ. Cheers Simon

Hi There's a guy who I have got a few bits from on the UK ebay his username is "robbossrichdick" or his email is ellastone@btconnect.com, it seems he gets a lot of TLR bikes from Japan and breaks them for spares you should have no problem getting the part your looking for from him. Simon
