  2. Hi, Just removed my chain and found the front sprocket to be "Loose" on its shaft, is there supposed to be play, if so what is reasonable on am old 2003..not used to it having any play?? cheers Mark should I panic or just put the chain back on and ride it???
  3. Hi, I accidently pulled out a repair plug from my rear tubeless tyre and my local tyre repair place tried to fix it with a mushroom repair with a patch over that...but it still leaks near to the puncture!!!!...slowly......the tyre looks in good condition (tread wise) but they say it make be delaminating in the carcass and the air travelling through the carcas to the damaged area..what are peoples viws on .... 1. just keep pumping it up, 2. They offered to put a tube in, 3. try another repair with one of those sticks, or buy another tyre! All advice welcomed...cheers mark
  4. Hi all, Well as promised an update... Pulled clutch off today, and found steel and "cork" plates..no paper. The steels were shiny and smooth so roughed up with emery on a sander!!, then rebuit and refilled with some Shell light gear oil 10/30w and ....so far so good, no clutch drag and a definite biting point...but only time will tell..off to ride it round the woods until I gather nerves and enter a Trial proper! cheers Mark ( until I need to replace the clutch plates)
  5. Hi, Gonna try new clutch plates and the light oil..seems to be the common way of fixing the problem...
  6. Hi..Early days for entering trials for me but hope to see you around..cheers mark
  7. Hi, Just bought a 2002 Montesa 315r and am suffering from clutch drag....engine running in neutral...engage 1st with a CLUNK and she's off, even with the clutch in, hard to shift gears or select neutral...I have no manual, is there some adjustment...which way???? do not want it to be the clutch....or is some of this to be expected.....makes life a bit difficult.. cheers Mark
  8. Hi all, just picked up a 2002 Montesa, to learn a bit about Trialing. Just going round the garden at present, ruining the grass!! Hey Ho. Waiting to get a manual so if anyone can help with a couple of queries... 1. I have assumed 1:80 with some castrol TTS is about right and 2. My clutch is not disengaging the engine cleanly...with engine running it CLUNKS into first and starts moving or stalls if you brake, even with the clutch in! Difficult to then find neutral of course... hopefully its a matter of adjustment rather than replacement....but what needs adjusting... and in or out!!! plenty of fluid in the resovoir. Any help appreciated Mark
