    4rt Restrictors

I took mine out and it was too loud so put it back in. Made no difference in power. Try a bit of love juice (wd40) round the bolts and let it soak in for a while
  2. Thanks everybody for your comments. Gulp...just ordered the Elf HTX740 for the gear box (how much!!) and Repsol fully synthetic for the engine. I am going to use a Scotts stainless steel oil filter as it filters much more crap out than the paper filters. Will keep you posted. Cheers
  3. Thanks Giz, bit gutted really. Would have liked to keep it running on the original stuff. Not at that price though. I will give the repsol oils a try. Cheers...
  4. WOW have you seen the price of Elf HTX 740 gear oil????? Its
  5. Thanks Mr King, off to order some up... Cheers.
  6. As far as I can see, engine wise most semi 10/40 will do the job fine. Gearbox oil is more open for discussion. Most people say the Elf HTX740 is the stuff to use. I can not find anywhere that sells it. Anyone know of a dealer who stocks it or an internet firm where I can order some? What sort of money does it cost? Thanks all...
  7. Just about to change the oil and filter on my new bike. What are you using in your 4RT ? My local dealer recommends Castrol semi 10w40 in the engine and Castrol SLX 0w30 in the gear box. He did say Elf was the best oil but can not supply it. What do you use???
  8. Have you seen the Scotts filter? Do you rate it?
  9. Hello all, I am a complete newbie to trials. Recently bought a 2008 4RT of which is great. Runs so sweet and had zero problems. On my Honda MX bikes I use a Scotts Performance stainless steel oil filter. I have found this oil filter to be the best you can get!! http://www.scottsperformance.com/products.php?PartType=3 My question is will an oil filter from a Honda CRF250 fit the 4RT ? Am I right in thinking the engines are very similar? Regards...
