  1. You could buy a cylmer manual....It's like a haynes manual but better. It covers Montesa, Bultaco and Ossa. This will give you all the info you need. You will find one on ebay. Hope this helps.
  2. Hi Stephen, I have a 1971 cota 247. I use a 40:1 fuel/oil ratio.....Castrol 2 stroke oil. For the clutch I use 7Floz of ATF (automatic transmission fluid). For the gearbox I use 10.5 Floz of SAE 90w. For the Forks I use 6.5Floz of SAE 30w per leg. Hope this helps Dan.
  3. Hello everyone, I've got a vm26 mikuni fitted to my cota 247. Got a bit of time this coming week just to sort out a few minor things on my bike. One thing I want to check is what the main and pilot jet sizes are in the carb. Could anyone recommend what sizes would work best? Cheers Dan.
  4. Hello. Im coming to the end of building up my 247. Just needs little things like cables, chain and sprokets and a flippin mid section exhaust. Bought the bike as a basket case, but the guy I bought it from didn't have the mid exhaust. I've searched everywhere.... ebay, in motion, trials bits uk, miller products and a few more. Does anyone know where I can buy one new or used? thanks Dan
  5. Yes definetly the wrong lever. I have a 247 (1971) and the kicker does not have a dog leg shape, it is straight. Dan
  6. Hello All! Would anyone have any ideas where I could purchase a pair of aluminium mudguards for a cota 247 1971. I've got plastics but want the bike back to original. Thanks Dan
  7. I have been searching the net for an exploded diagram of a 247 engine. Does anyone know of a site that I could get one from. Many thanks
