montesa 247 manual

Featured Replies

Hello everybody,

I'm new here.

I've bought a 1977 montesa cota 247 (at least i think it is one) and have some problems with it.

Does anybody know where i can find a workshop manual for it?

Thanks!

And warning don't expect the manual to help very much - what are the problems that you have?

Hello,

How can I contact you?

I found the cota in a barn, so there are a lot of cleaning an repairing problems.

i would like to know what type of oil i have to put where and how much.

Also carburator and engine adjustments (ignition timing; float hight and so on...) will be usefull.

Contact me through Members messages and I will arrange something

You could buy a cylmer manual....It's like a haynes manual but better. It covers Montesa, Bultaco and Ossa. This will give you all the info you need. You will find one on ebay. Hope this helps.

Alex feel free to repost, every chap needs his manual!

I believe the service/repair manual covers the 247, including oil quantities for the forks, clutch, gearbox etc.
