April 15, 201115 yr Hello everybody, I'm new here. I've bought a 1977 montesa cota 247 (at least i think it is one) and have some problems with it. Does anybody know where i can find a workshop manual for it? Thanks!
April 15, 201115 yr And warning don't expect the manual to help very much - what are the problems that you have?
April 15, 201115 yr Author Hello, How can I contact you? I found the cota in a barn, so there are a lot of cleaning an repairing problems. i would like to know what type of oil i have to put where and how much. Also carburator and engine adjustments (ignition timing; float hight and so on...) will be usefull. Contact me through Members messages and I will arrange something
April 15, 201115 yr You could buy a cylmer manual....It's like a haynes manual but better. It covers Montesa, Bultaco and Ossa. This will give you all the info you need. You will find one on ebay. Hope this helps.
April 17, 201115 yr My Friend Ben posted a link previously to his website where he is hosting a download link for the manual. I am sure he will not mind me reposting? http://bpilgrim.co.nr/
April 19, 201115 yr Alex feel free to repost, every chap needs his manual! I believe the service/repair manual covers the 247, including oil quantities for the forks, clutch, gearbox etc.
