    Majesty Tank/seat Unit

I have a Sammy Miller tank/seat but it doesnt fit! The 'tunnel' is not wide enough so it will not fit over the spine of frame and it is to wide at the back.

    Majesty Tank/seat Unit

I emailed Shedworks as they have a Majesty style tank/seat for a TY175 on their website, but they did not know if it would fit a Mini Majesty frame. I guess that it wont because the frames are different. bestrcpilot I guess that yours would not fit either for the same reason, but thanks anyway. Charlie I am very interested if nothing is available.
  3. Does anyone know where I can get fibreglass tank/seat to fit a Mini Majesty frame. They are no longer available from the Majesty website, but I guess someone still has the moulds.

    TLR200 re-wiring problem

OK the other 3 wires are yellow, pink and white. What damage can I do if I connect the wrong one to the CDI unit?
  5. I have stripped out the electrical wiring on my TLR200 as I have removed the lights, ignition lock etc. My only problem with re-wiring it are the wires from the alternator. The Clymer manual shows a red/black wire from the alternator to the CDI unit, I don't have one but do have a black wire. Can anyone confirm that this is the correct one? I assume that the other 3 wires from the alternator can be removed. I realise that the green and blue/yellow wires from the pick-up also connect to the CDI unit. Any advice will be much appreciated.

    TLR200 choke problem.

I just took a look at the spark plug and it's not the correct one for the bike, infact it's nowhere near. I will fit the right one and see if it makes any difference. Every bike I have owned has had high revs on choke but not this one.

    TLR200 choke problem.

From cold it starts 2nd kick on FULL choke, but I have to keep the revs up or it stalls. It takes a couple of minutes to warm up and tick over without stalling, even with the choke full on. As I understand most carbs increase the amount of fuel delivered when the choke is on, and if this is not happening it would explain my problem. Does anyone know if this is the case with a Keihin PO8A carb, and if so how?
  8. I have just bought a TLR200, it runs PERFECTLY when warm, but it won't tick over when cold on choke and stalls if I don't keep the revs up. I have cleaned the carb and blown it through with an air-line, and the butterfly valve seems to be working. It is the right carb for the bike, the jets are standard, needle is 2nd groove from the top, and the rubber O-rings are good. Any help would be much appreciated.

    Mini Majesty

Hi I have been thinking about building a Mini Majesty for some time, and have the TY parts that I need. Is the Mini Majesty frame smaller than a standard TY175? (and suitable for an adult rider?) Does it really make much difference to the handling characteristics? By how much should the swinging arm be extended? Has anyone had any problems with building one, or issues with owning it?
  10. I have fitted the shoes!!!! The bike is now good for tomorrows trial. Tials Central does it again! (with a little help from its members) Many thanks Bryan
  11. Does anyone know where I can get a pair of Yamaha TY175 rear brake shoes before Sunday !!!! (Dabbers Trial) If anyone localy has a used or new pair I will pay generously and collect. I have tried some local dealers but no luck.
  12. Yes I have a 1999 TXT 270 (with a slow action throttle). It needs a little effort to lift the front wheel. I have not ridden a 2002 TXT 280, but someone reading this might let you know how they perform.
  13. It could be that the 1999 bike has a slower action throttle. A fast action throttle can make a bike feel very different particulary in the low rev range.
  14. There is a frame for sale on ebay for
  15. Thanks for your advice Wayne I have had worn barrel problems with smaller 2strokes in the past, but this sounds different to me. On those bikes the rattle was worse when ticking-over really slow, and more erratic, this is more regular. The other bikes were air-cooled, maybe that is why it sounds different (no fins to amplify/change the sound) What do you think? bhg
