  1. Alan, The engine is already moved over. My last weekend riding in the mud has demonstrated an absolute necessity for gaining more clearance. The bike must have doubled in weight!
  2. That's an interesting idea, though only provides extra clearance on one side. I guess on off set wheel should sort that out. I have a very friendly local fabricator and I dropped my swinging arm off to him today. He is going to take off about 1cm from the inside of both legs and weld in some flat steel onto the remaining tube. That way I will get an extra 2cm clearance and maintain the strength. We will see! Re the sprocket spacer. I have one on my bike that sits between the hub and the sprocket (talon 66 tooth). This sprocket sits perfectly well with the hub without any issues.
  3. No problem there, I have boots the size of ships, so I have already widened my pegs.
  4. Thanks for the advice. I did some more searching last night, and they look a lot like an early series Fantic trial 125.
  5. Has anyone got any pictures of a widened swing arm that I can use to plan my alteration. I already have the original (wider) arm, but still have minimal clearance and hence want to make the alteration. Any advice gladly received.
  6. I have a Tiger Cub with Fantic forks - with a serious leak. Problem is I don't know what model the forks are or what bike they came off. I have bought some new seals the same size as those already on the bike (32x42x8), but now I need to add the oil - question is how much?? For those Fantic enthusiasts who may be able to help, the details are: 32mm stanchions Drum brake left hand pull Original colour - Red Drain screw at bottom rear of each leg Hex bolt in bottom secures internals Four sided alloy screw threaded bolt secures spring Thanks, John
  7. Thanks for the advice. All I need is my registration now! I look forwards to riding through my local town with the local coppers running after me. I bet I will need to carry the MOT certificate with me to expalin my self!
  8. No brake light either?? Blimey, souinds like all I need is my electric horn from Halfords bike department and a bike speedo and I am away then!
  9. Anyone know what you need for a day time MOT? I know you don't need lights or indicators, but presume you need stop light and speedo?
  10. Thanks for the replies, I have also had an email from Mike Estall, who can help. He can provide me with a dating certificate which should get me going in the right direction.
  11. I have just bought a trials modified Tiger Cub with PVL ignition. It looks like PVL has milled a slot in the casing (where the engine number was, as it's not by the front mount) and added their aluminium logo into this slot, therefore I only have the frame number to go by. Has anyone got any experience of registering a bike with an age related plate based on frame number only?
