  1. if you keep bashing the national trust land and the gyppo's you'll not have a licence to make it to a pub Thanks for the advice, current fave is a 315 Mont... any other advice please?
  2. Evening all. After a hell of a lay off, I *may* just be getting round to levering the missus into letting me ride again... I don't want to/can't afford to spend a fortune, prolly up to a grand(UK Money)... What bike (200cc and over) would be a good starter for ten please? Used to ride an old TY 175 E, loved it to bits, but was really crap at riding it! Events would be over 40's newcomers/beginners, if I ever got to being an inter, I'd buy the whole forum a beer! Thanks in advance for any advice offered, and best wishes to all Kev
  3. Just coming back into trials as an observer, and went to the Darwen Trials Club Championship round today at Ramsgreave. A big thank you to all the riders and organisers who made it a truly wonderful day, I have been involved in many forms of motorsport, none have EVER been as friendly as Trials. I was made to feel most welcome All the competitors, you deserve a pat on the back for your manners. Look forward to seeing you all again soon Kev ( The fat muddy bloke on section 6)
  4. Good afternoon all. I used to compete in schoolboy trials in the late 70's and early 80's, I was that good, my Dad always said I was the strongest rider in the trial, I was dead chuffed until I realised that he meant I supported all the riders above me in the results list! I was pants at it, but loved it all the same. I rode with Andy Cross, Tony Sedgwick and Guy Winder, we were all members of Westmorland MCC. I used to mate about and go to school with Lance and Julian Ingham, James Cotton and Sean Green. Part of the extended friends we made through trials were Brian Houghton ( in Australia now I believe?) and the late, but great, Kevin Bleasdale. I have moved away from Lancashire now to Merseyside, and am looking to get back into trials as an observer/organiser of trials, so if anyone can point me in the right direction in the Lancashire/Merseyside/Cheshire/Derbys areas, please PM me. Also if anyone knows the where abouts of the Ingham brothers, I'd love to get back in touch. Thanks to the website admin for such a great, easy to use site. Kev Haworth
