    Thanks Wayne, I couldn't see why it would be any different, it just seemed a bit strange that the Clymer manual specifically makes reference to the electronic ignition and doesn't mention the standard points type. Simon

    Hi there! Can anyone please confirm how to fit a kill switch to Montesa 247 Cota. Is it just a case of connecting one of the wires to the lower terminal on the coil, i.e. the terminal with the blue wire attached, and the other wire to an earth on the frame or bars? This is what is stated in the Clymer manual for electronic type ignition but it doesn't mention how to fit switch for standard points type system. Jamieson
