September 26, 200619 yr 98 315 never been freshend. is it standard practise to bore and replace piston or is simply replacing the piston and ring ect. the way to go? it's not a high value mint bike so what's your take?
September 26, 200619 yr Check the barrel definately, and ring sandifords. As you can usually just put a bigger piston in, unless you have the largest barrel, alternatively sandifords usually have 2nd hand barrels! I had a friend who had a 98 model it sounded a right pig, he put new piston and rings in, and it ran for 3 years perfectly - all for about
