October 11, 200619 yr Can anybody tell me what the correct gas/oil mixture is for a 2001 TXT 280 (not the Pro) ? I was told 1.25% , 1:80 but to me that seems a bit poor on oil.
October 11, 200619 yr on my 2001 gas gas 200 i used 70:1 where in 5 litres i had 70-80 ml of oil which seemeed to work fine use this on my gas gas 06 pro now (oil is putoline fully synthetic)
October 11, 200619 yr 75ml to 5 ltrs is about right,this is 66:1. I recommend castrol TTS it is very high quality oil and if you can't get from your local bike shop halfords stock it. It is around
October 12, 200619 yr If you use 50 to 1 your bike will smoke and all the Experts will make fun of you, ask me how I know. I have used 80 to 1 for years, its the way to go, just don't go flat out for very long.
