Hi, I just put new brake pads on my bike. I test rode the bike and was shocked that the stopping power is terrible. I am wondering if this is because the new pads need to wear into the old disc? Does this usually happen? Do people usually replace the disk when they replace the brake pads? I have an event coming up on March 1st and so am looking for a solution quick. Thanks, Ed

I have an 01 280TXT. I bought it 3 years ago and it appeared to have low hours on it. Up to this point I have not had a single problem with it, and I have ridden it quite a bit. The engine runs great and has very smooth power. I don't know how it compares to a Techno (I have heard good things about that bike as well.)

Hi, I have a 2001 TXT280 and I have always used a ratio of 80:1. The motor runs fantastic and has never been apart. I run 650cc of ATF Dexron 3 in the tranny.

No, its a pro. You can tell by the Frame.

I looked around and could not find the spec for the cooling system capacity. Your best bet will be to drain your cooling system and measure how much fluid comes out. I found this on the GG website regarding the radiator cap: The cap is a pressure type cap that helps to pressurize the system. This reduces cavitation at the water pump vane and raises the boiling point of the coolant two degrees for each pound of pressure. If there are no other signs of overheating, it may have lost some tension so what you may want to try first is to add a large o-ring that just fits into the radiator neck. This will take up the clearance. Make sure the flat rubber gasket is in good shape so it seals well. Add coolant just up to the bottom of the neck to allow some room for expansion when the coolant heats up. If overfilled, it's normal for the radiator to release some coolant when the engine warms up.
