  1. I use a 10inch c-clamp works great.
  2. I voted rocks, but the last trial I rode had a 4th gear hill climb with a mud bog about 20ft from the top. It was a blast and the sound of my buddys 4 stroke Montesa blasting up that hill was cool, and the cheers if you made it.
  3. My club gives them away for year end awards. We buy a large amount of them and they cutt us a break on the price. We just called around different gear companys and took the best deal.

This happened to me once, they sold my alcohol instead of gas. It would start but not go anywhere. I mix half race fuel and half pump gas, and I only mix with oil a gallon at a time. As far as jetting you shouldn't need to.

Yes, but put your patience hat on.
  6. If I ever paint anything on a bike I use LPS cold Galvinizing it is a tuff paint.

Don't know if this helps but i bought a 04 raga and the spring was to weak for my fat body, so i put an old hebo spring on that I had and its perfect. Yes my shock is an Ohlins also.
  8. I have rode trials for 20 years and finally had a clean trial, yes I'm one of the riders that cleaned the trial. Yes, I was challenged to ride 24 sections with a clean card is the hardest thing to do. I ride SR. EXPERT I like it easy not hard, when I was younger I liked to drag my bike around now I like to ride it. Now with that said, the loop was good and long we had a huge hill climb, off cambers and some rock sections oh yeah and a parking lot log section so your wife and friends could watch you flop like a fish out of water. The coolest thing was all the new bikes, everything but the Montesa was there. Friday night we all watched them put together a new GasGas.

Yes, I think on the new Serco

Yes, just take those three bolts out of your water pump, then pull out the pump and it will all drain out.
  11. I have road GasGas for many years and have had no problems. Like any bike if you don't take care of it you have junk. I like to ride not work on a bike but if you take care of it it will take care of you no matter what you ride.

I bet you have a weak spark, check your coil wire, move some things around. You might get lucky.
  13. I don't know what time the Pros start but the morning riders go out at 8:30 so I'd get there a little early. About directions go to neott.com and print the directions to langley.

Yes, you need to find the problem. Check the swing arm and everything in the rear end.

If you use 50 to 1 your bike will smoke and all the Experts will make fun of you, ask me how I know. I have used 80 to 1 for years, its the way to go, just don't go flat out for very long.
  16. I would use atf (tranny fluid) . How much I think 3/4 of a Qt. but I'm not soild on the amount.
  17. motojojo replied to mcerem's topic in Fantic
I don't know how much your going to spend on this, but I would find some LPS cold galvinizing spray paint, sand blast the engine and us the LPS as a primer. It's very strong, not real smooth thats why I would us it as a primer. I used it on a header pipe and it lasted a long time.
  18. Its two things a weight difference and the shock on the Raga is good, but your shock is probabley just to stiff your rebound needs to be fast enough to pick your bike up, if the shock is to slow all the technque in the world won't give you lift. Can you push down on the bike and the shock push it up real quick.
  19. Bend your knees lowering your center of gravity let the clutch out just half way and roll the throttle on, then let us know what happens.

Mike MacCabe is in his 70s and he can make some turns that would make Mich Lin pucker!
  21. They make a software program that you install in a lap top then plug into your cdi ignition and program your power output. You can make it faster or slower on the bottom or on the top. The stock setting is pretty fast but she can go faster. I like mine stock it has a little low end and alot of quickness.

A rare problem but it does happen. If the float goes up and doesn't stop the fuel flow, she will flood. If the starting jet is not large enough it will be starved for fuel. If all else fails look for something simple, some times we look to hard. Good Luck

I don't think so, you might get it off with out cutting it, but then they take a special tool to crimp them back down. I'm just guessing, but I would cutt it lose with some wire dikes put on a new hose clamp and go riding.
  24. Raga Bro, that sweet thing has a programable ignition. You can set it any way you want with the right software.
  25. I've owned 3 GasGas and never a problem to speak of. My '04 Raga Pro is quick and light, would not trade it for anything out there, but thats just me. Its hard to switch but they quit making Fantic so the switch was easy for me.LOL
