How much oil in the gearbox for the 300 anyone?

I'd have GUESS that it may be the same as your trusty 240 ?

Steve - I have all the spec sheets for your bike - I will mail them to you - as I said in my email to you the 300 takes the same as the 240 - 500cc Opti 4. 10w40

Hey Ax - We find that the Opti 4 - 10w40 works extremely well in all Tranny's

( exception being the GG Pro for which we recommend 5w30)

The straight grades do give better film strength and we recommend these for such bikes as the Sherco 4T or

Montesa 4RT as these engines run very hot ( 30w)

As you likely already know, it is imperitive to use a good quality oil and change it often -

we do NOT recommend using Synthetic oil in Motorcycle Transmissions as some of these have caused
