December 16, 200619 yr I know mr saunders is good in the mud.he droped 10 on the 4 bang beta, the next best expert was on 76, now that is still impresive.no mater what bike/ rider/conditions/luck,or whatever doupters think fourstrokes are here to stay(till the electric trialers come along) :agree: wonder how the electric ones will face comapred to the petrol powered ones
December 22, 200619 yr Well, did anyone buy one? Only 4 came into the country! Managed to bag a shot of Highland Leisure Sport's one today Points i noted, 1. Started with 1 or 2 kicks. 2. Feels realy smooth. 3. Not as much engine braking as a 4rt. 4. More engine noises than the mont. 5. Less exhaust noise than the honda. 6. Rideing position feels the same as the rev3 But it still won't beat a 2 stroke Gasser!!!! Edited December 22, 200619 yr by markygas

December 22, 200619 yr Heard last month that there would be 20 bikes arriving before xmas/end of year and every beta dealer would get one. Heard today that it might be out as a 2008 bike!! So that suggests august/september. But please do not qoute me on this
December 22, 200619 yr I too heard a "rumour" that this years bikes will be demo`s and the like which would be a good idea I think the Demo term is a tad loose mind as I think there were a few demo bikes plus the few LUCKY normal lads and with a bit of luck for the rest of us these local normal riders should be able too give a good honest reveiw throughout their ownership
December 23, 200619 yr But it still won't beat a 2 stroke Gasser!!!! Markygas, I am not contesting your opinion but can you be a bit more specific about that last comment, particularly when it comes to riding comparisons. I am genuinely interested in your own impressions. Ta !
December 27, 200619 yr for what its worth, you wont get a deal ! the dealers have no margin ,why pay more than a 4rt? especially risky as its untried ! and if its no good
December 27, 200619 yr for what its worth, you wont get a deal ! the dealers have no margin ,why pay more than a 4rt? especially risky as its untried ! and if its no good Similar to what we went through with the 4rt...... except with your username the 4rt wasn't a risk was it... Every new bike is a risk ansd some people will always be willing to risk it. If I had the money, I guarantee I would
December 27, 200619 yr says a beta rider ps wasnt the 4rts first test the scott? Point made and obviously you've got my point however having ridden a Honda for 5 years I'd have risked the 4rt if i'd had the cash. First test for the 4T Beta will be the Scottish, we'll what happens after that. Edited December 27, 200619 yr by Slapshot 3
December 27, 200619 yr :agree: i had considered a beta ,but where do you buy one from? do you think any dealers will have one spare? id probably buy one tomorrow if they had!
