November 12, 200619 yr Anybody know how much gearbox oil goes in a 2004?... Also - what coolant type/levels does you use? Cheers,
November 12, 200619 yr I am not at home at the moment so I can`t just nip out and check, butI am pretty sure that I put 550ml in mine! as 1 bottle is not enough for two changes..How does yours start by the way as mine is a pain from cold, taking at least 5 minutes, fine when hot though. I think the choke is not working so I need to strip the carb when I get a chance.
November 12, 200619 yr It takes 0.52 ltr at drainig, 0.55 ltr at dismantle. Drain bolt torque 22N-m. Hand book recommends 50/50 coolant and distilled water.
November 12, 200619 yr Author No idea... I haven't had a chance to ride it yet......picked it up yesterday....stripping it down at the moment... Do any of you guys know: what the standard gearing should be for a 2004? how to get the swinging arm out?.....it seems like the linkage bearings could do with replacing....I've stripped it down as much as I can...but the arm doesn't seem to look like it will ever come out...!! Cheers,
