paul w
i know there has been a thread on 270 jetting but has anyone modified a 250? my 05 chokes at the top end of the rev range, it will clear but at the next section its choked again. it only clears when its really hot. i have held off doing anything until the tempeature droped to see if it made a difference as it got colder, but i cant say i have noticed much. im fed up with charging at long hill climbs only to get half way up, the bike chokes up, and back down i come!! any advice welcome. ta. betamike
Sounds like you may have a bit of water in your carb somewhere. My bike did this once, and this was the problem. Give it all a good clean out with air or carb clean cheers
neveready
ive had three 270s all of which had problems.. now ive got a 250 and i have to say theres no going back, luckily ive had no probs what so ever with the running of the bike however one time after being a bit to enthusiastic with the pressure washer it did run a bit crap..all i did was take off the float bowl nut left the petrol on for a bit,,let i run through ,,put it back together and it ran looovely again..cant see why i used to think 270 was the way to go..its not as though im doing brit champs or world rounds..
