Anyone any tips on straightining my rear brake lever , I have taken it off, that was not the easiest thing i have done either really tight fit.

Its bent about 30 degrees from the back of the stop, i am assuming that should be straight.

should i warm it up or do it cold .

any idea how much a new one is??

cheers.

06 beta riders put a softer throttle spring in, makes it a different bike. :bouncy:

You should heat alloy to straighten, cover the area in household soap and heat until it goes black, that is the temperature to straighten at. Hold the lever at the pivot point in a vice with smooth jaws and use something like a large ring spanner over the lever to bend at the required place.

Good luck,

Or you could buy a new one, and leave the old one on for the next trial. Guaranteed it will get bent back to almost perfect shape negating the need for the one you just bought :icon_rendeer:

Technohead has described the way I do it. Just try to get some heat insulation between vice and lever or it takes a fair while.
